U19.5 - 7.10.52 Def By Mulgrave 9.2.56

In a fantastic season, our U19.5s missed out on Grand Final birth by four points on Sunday.

Meeting Mulgrave again for the third in about six weeks, our boys have always managed a win over the Lions. However, the last game was close, and our boys knew they would be up for a fight!

The game started with a very accurate Mulgrave side, taking all opportunities to kick four goals straight. our young Saints had more scoring opportunities but were not as accurate, kicking one goal and four behinds.

The second quarter saw our boys steady the ship and reduce the margin to eight points at the main break.

the third quarter was where our young Saints were able to strike back and looked to be running away with the game. Slamming home three goals and keeping the Lions scoreless, they took a 12-point lead heading into the last quarter.

However, the last quarter was almost a reflection of the first. Our boys were inaccurate in front of goal, whilst Mulgrave was able to pile on four goals to our one to run away with a win and place in the Grand Final next week.

Our boys should be proud of the season they produced, and we look forward to continuing to watch their football grow over the years to come.
